Association's organized workshops on August 1, 2015

On August 1, 2015, in the city of Kadaga, 15 Lacenu street, a one-day event for the promotion of home-made and handicrafts in Ādaži region was held at the association "Gaujas Partnerība". Visitors had the opportunity to work with clay, to paint stones, to create ornaments, to work with wood, to make compositions of wood, and to find out interesting questions about handicrafts (crochet, knitting, mosaic making) and ornamentation.
The event took place in the project "Creative workshops - come and participate!" which was supported by the Citizens' Initiative "Society with the Soul" organized by the Adazi City Council. The aim of the project was to share experience, to emphasize the preservation of the national cultural history and to emphasize the importance of craft. Within this framework, a booklet "House builders and craftsmen in Ādaži region" was also published, in which information about several masters and home-workers working in Ādaži district was collected.
